One of my favorite salads to make for holidays or picnics is Oriental Ramen Noodle Salad. I make this all the time and it is actually very simple! Everything goes into the bowl and it just sits in the fridge for a few hours before its ready to eat!
Ingredients:
16 ounce bag of coleslaw mix (regular or broccoli slaw will work)
1 cup sunflower seeds, no shells
1 cup sliced almonds (optional)
3 bags of ramen noodles (the flavor doesn’t matter, you are just using the noodles)
5 stalks of scallions, sliced
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Assembly:
Step 1: In a large bowl, combine everything but the vegetable oil, vinegar, and sugar.
Step 2: In a small mixing bowl, combine the vegetable oil, vinegar, and sugar. Mix together until sugar is mostly dissolved.
Step 3: Pour dressing of vegetable oil, vinegar, and sugar over the salad and stir.
Step 4: Refrigerate covered for at least 2 hours.
